Kristyn Drover

Clinical Psychologist

Kristyn Drover has significant experience with assessing children and adults. After graduating in 1999 with a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology (Bachelors from Memorial University, Masters from University of Sarasota, Doctoral ongoing at present), she began working with an Ontario school board and started a private assessment practice. In seven years in Ontario she completed comprehensive assessments on approximately 700 individuals before her native Rock (Newfoundland) called her back home to be near her large family while raising her two small children

In Newfoundland, she worked as a fully registered Clinical Psychologist for Eastern Health as well as maintaining a private practice. While her work there became more focused on therapeutic intervention, she saw the need for assessment and carved out that niche in her practice to stay current and continue doing something she loves. In that role she has supervised provisionally registered psychologists as well as many students from the Memorial University Doctor of Psychology program in their practicum placements. She has also taught the Adult Assessment course in that program and has been a Professional Psychology Associate in the Psychology Faculty at MUN. She has taught introductory psychology at two universities in Florida. Kristyn has extensive assessment training the most recently including the ADOS with Dr. Adam McCrimmon, who is an expert in the field of autism assessment out of the University of Calgary.

Kristyn has recently decided to return to Ontario after 13 years with Eastern Health and join Edcommodate. She and her husband are following their now post-secondary bound children back to a place they also love. She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist in Ontario in “good standing” with the College of Psychologists. She has declared areas of competency in clinical psychology in assessment/evaluation, and intervention/consultation, with children.

Kristyn is excited to be a part of the growing Edcommodate Team and bring quality assessments to the clients she serves.
