Dr. Nikhil Koushik is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist with a wealth of experience in the field of neuropsychology. He completed his PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Windsor in 2008, where he developed a strong foundation in assessing and treating cognitive and emotional challenges. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Koushik undertook a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Alberta Children’s Hospital, further honing his expertise in working with children and adolescents.

Dr. Koushik’s career includes significant accomplishments in clinical practice and leadership. He served as the founding Director of the MetroHealth Autism Assessment Center (MAAC) in Cleveland, Ohio, where he focused on addressing the autism assessment needs of underserved populations in inner-city communities. His commitment to equitable access to mental health services has been a guiding principle throughout his career.

Currently, Dr. Koushik is a staff psychologist in the children’s outpatient mental health program at Grand River Hospital, where he continues to provide comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions. In addition to his clinical practice, he is dedicated to clinical teaching and supervising the next generation of clinical psychology trainees.

Dr. Koushik is board certified in clinical child and adolescent psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, signifying his mastery and proficiency in delivering high-quality clinical services to young clients. He is a licensed psychologist in Ontario, in good standing with the Ontario College of Psychologists, with declared competencies in both clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology across the lifespan.
