Edcommodate has joined forces with Integrative Psychiatry Canada (IPC) to enhance the support we provide to our patients and their families. IPC, offers a wide range of mental health services designed to meet the diverse needs of individual patients and their families, who have received assessment services through Edcommodate.

IPC serves as a hub for a variety of mental health offerings, ensuring that Edcommodate patients have access to comprehensive resources that can significantly benefit their wellbeing beyond our comprehensive diagnostic assessments.

Mental Health Services:

Multidisciplinary Psychiatric Assessments:

  • Comprehensive Mental Health Diagnostic Assessments involving a Psychiatrist, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Social Worker.
  • Timely access to psychiatry with comprehensive reporting.
  • Mental health diagnosis outside of the psychoeducational assessment.
  • Secondary psychiatric opinions.
  • Mental health medication and adjustment plans.Baseline and updated psychiatric status assessments.
  • Family member assessment and support.

Psychiatric Collaborative Autism Diagnosis Assessments:

  • IPC offers virtual Autism Diagnostic Assessments in collaboration with psychologists at Edcommodate for ages 8 to 50 Years Old.
  • Patients will receive a full psychoeducational assessment when scheduling an Autism diagnostic assessment, with the advantage of being assessed by a psychiatrist.
  • Recommendations for accommodations will be made for all school settings by the psychologist based on collaborative psychiatric and psychological diagnoses.

Psychiatric Collaborative Mental Health Assessments:

  • IPC provides virtual Mental Health Diagnostic Assessments in collaboration with psychologists at Edcommodate.
  • Patients can opt for further mental health investigations outside the scope of the psychoeducational assessment, benefiting from additional psychiatric evaluations.
  • Recommendations for accommodations will be made for all school settings by the psychologist based on collaborative psychiatric and psychological diagnoses.

Mental Health Nurse Practitioners:

  • Ideal for Edcommodate patients looking to explore mental health prescriptions or medication adjustments based on a recent diagnosis, inclusive of ADHD Diagnostic Assessments for adults.
  • Mental health medication management.
  • Follow-up mental health care.

Psychotherapy:

  • Support available for Edcommodate patients or family members (parents) seeking assistance, community resource navigation, and IEP support with schools and/or school boards.
  • Independent Educational Plan (IEP) consultations and guidance.
  • Community navigation services and support.
  • Family, child, and adult counselling/psychotherapy services.

Pharmacogenetic Testing:

  • Testing to better understand how an individual’s genetic makeup can impact their response to mental health medications, which assists psychiatry in determining most appropriate medications.
