The Two types of recommendations that can be made in psychoeducational reporting are recommendation for Accommodation and/or recommendation for Modification.

o   Accommodation

Recommendations for accommodation can change how the curriculum is taught, accessed,  and assessed. Some simple examples of an accommodation would be an extended amount of time to complete an assignment, allowing the student to use speech to text technology, and shortening assignments.  The accommodations do not alter the curriculum or the course of what the student is expected to achieve and master.

o   Modification

Recommendations for Modification will change how the curriculum is taught, accessed and assessed, but will also alter the course of what curriculum is being taught, and what the student is expected to achieve and master.  The simplest example of a Modification is curriculum from a lower grade being recommended or altering activity to reduce complexity of the curriculum.
