About Michelle Gomez
Michelle Gomez completed her Bachelor of Science with a focus in Psychology and Health Science at the University of Toronto (Scarborough). After a year as a Research Assistant at the University Health Network, she pursued graduate studies in the United States, earning her Master’s in School Psychology at Niagara University and completing an internship in Illinois. Michelle currently resides in Indiana, where she works as a School Psychologist and is pursuing her PhD (part time) in Special Education at Ball State University. She holds licenses as a School Psychologist in Indiana, New York, and Illinois, and is working towards becoming registered psychologist in Ontario, Canada as well.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Michelle frequently returns to visit her family. She finds working in Ontario especially meaningful and is excited to join the Edcommodate team as a psychometrist.
Michelle has over five years of experience conducting cognitive, academic, social, and emotional assessments, with a primary focus on identifying learning disabilities in school-aged children and adults. She routinely completes comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and, in the U.S., collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans that best support students’ unique needs. Michelle also provides counseling services and continues to expand her expertise in utilizing a variety of assessment tools to help identify learning disabilities.
Michelle is enthusiastic about working with Edcommodate to provide psychoeducational assessment services that support students and their families in Canada.
